Can I take the 150-Hour Broker Modules Before my 3-Year Anniversary as a Salesperson?

Yes. New Jersey Broker Candidates make take any or all of the three broker modules before their 3-year anniversary as a salesperson. After completion:

1. Send in their experience report to the Real Estate Commission for approval after their 3-year salesperson’s anniversary. then

2. Take and pass the Broker’s exam, then

3. Complete the fingerprinting and background check, then

4. Register their license with a broker or open their own brokerage.

However, candidates have 1 year from the completion of the last broker module to pass the Broker’s exam.
